Terms of use
Check the official source before you apply or pay.
PetLicenseCheck is an independent information service. It is not a government agency, does not issue licenses, and does not provide legal or veterinary advice.
Local information can change
Requirements, fees, deadlines, service areas, and application links can change. Confirm the current information with the local authority before applying, paying, or relying on an exemption.
An answer is limited to the details shown
A result summarizes the location, species, fees, and conditions shown on the page. It is not a personal legal determination and does not cover every animal-related rule, including vaccination law, leash rules, dangerous-animal rules, breeder permits, housing rules, or travel documents.
If we cannot confirm an answer
That does not mean no license is required. Use the official office or source linked with the result for a current answer.
Google-powered location suggestions
PetLicenseCheck uses Google Maps and Google Places features for submitted ZIP codes and optional street-address suggestions. When you use those features, your use is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
External sites
Government and government-designated application sites control their own content, availability, terms, privacy, and transactions. PetLicenseCheck does not receive licensing payments through those links.
Updates
These terms may change as the service changes. They were last updated August 24, 2026.
